 Advanced Level Junior Program returning!

Are you looking to bring your curling game to the next level?

The Crestwood Curling Club Junior Program is proud to bring back our Advanced Level Junior Program (ALJP).

Head Instructor Mark Johnson

Mark has curled competitively in both Canada and the United States. In the mid-2000s, he skipped one of the top teams in Alberta. In 2006, he lost to Kevin Martin in the provincial final.[1] He was asked by Martin to play as the team's alternate at the 2006 Tim Hortons Brier, in which Mark played two games.

On turning 50, Markbecame a senior aged curler, and played in his first Canadian Senior Curling Championships in 2010. His Alberta team defeated Ontario in the final. This qualified Mark to represent Canada at the 2011 World Senior Curling Championships. At the 2011 Seniors, Mark led Canada to gold medal, defeating the United States in the final, 5–4.

Mark has been the instructor of the ALJP since it's inception and has coached several competitive teams.

The ALJP is designed to help junior curlers who are interested in honing their skills, talents and abilities in order to compete at a higher caliber. You will receive two hours of additional on and off ice training from a highly skilled and motivated coach each Thursday from 4-6pm in this 12 week full year program.
